Heather’s Glen staffers took advantage of a rare free weekend and hopped on a cruise! Okay, we didn’t just hop on, but we did book it within a week of embarking, and guess what? Last minute bookings are extremely affordable. If you’re eloping or booking a wedding within a short amount of time, I definitely recommend looking into a cruise for a honeymoon. Being right here in Houston is super convenient for Galveston-departing ships. All you can eat (and trust me, we did!), and entertainment are built right into the price. The money you might spend would be on any gambling (yes, there’s a casino on board), and perhaps any excursions at your destinations. Ours was a 4 day cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, and I can’t remember the last time I was so relaxed. Perhaps my own honeymoon three years ago?!
A cruise is also a great option for a bachelorette or bachelor party. Here me out- it’s way less expensive than Vegas, and the more people you book at once, the more affordable it becomes.
Four days to Mexico was the perfect trip- a sunny getaway that was short enough to not take too many days off from work, but long enough to feel like we actually took a vacation!
