Selecting your first dance song can be tricky. You don’t really want it to be something very popular on the radio at that time, because you don’t want to get sick of it and cringe when you hear it. But it’s important that it’s special to you both and will continue to have meaning for you over the years. The song I danced with my husband to over 5 years ago (Falling Slowly) occasionally pops up on my pandora station at home every once and a while, and it’s always a nice moment that my husband and I share when we dance a few steps and reminisce to it. One of my appointments recently shared their song with me, a lovely cover of Rhianna’s “Please Don’t Stop the Music” by the uber-talented Jamie Cullum.
My sister who is getting married in September mentioned she and her fiance will be dancing to Goo Goo Dolls’ new song, “Come to Me,” which will surely be a popular wedding song for couples this year.
