You hear of couples writing their own vows; you don’t often hear of someone writing a computer program to stand in as a minister!
Diana Wesley and and Miguel Hanson, an Humble couple, got married last Saturday at the bride’s parents’ home. When their friend couldn’t officiate the wedding as the two had hoped, the couple improvised. Miguel wrote a computer program that would stand in as a minister, through a 30′ monitor!
The robot voice greeted guests, performed the ceremony, and even told the story of how the couple met.
The robot minister can’t sign the marriage license, however, so the couple will still have to get a justice of the peace to sign and file the paperwork.
I love that the robot had a robot voice and wore spectacles!
