I discovered this post about a charming DIY wedding, which described that the bridesmaids carried their favorite love story down the aisle rather than flowers. As a lover of literature, I thought it was a great idea in theory, but perhaps not in practice. It could be awkward for the ladies to carry them, and the guests would certainly wonder why they were bringing books to the altar. I wasn’t there for the event, so I don’t know if the minister clued the guests in, but I did think the books would make a lovely gift for the bride from all of them. What do you think?
