You can often tell the year a wedding took place by the attire worn by the wedding party in a photo. In pictures of my parents’ wedding, it is clearly early 1970’s because of the long-sleeved bridesmaid dresses with collars that are practically turtlenecks. I don’t even know what to call that style gown, but my mom was wearing it too, in white. The 80s and 90s seemed to be taken over by taffeta, and then the 2000s were full of satin. This year, however, might be the year for sequins! It’s amazing that a bridal party can be wearing sequins and it not feel like the rest of the event has to be black tie. The sequin gowns we’ve seen have been gold, champagne, and in neutral tones overall. Here’s some inspiration for you.
Note that lovely nail polish with it!
Lovely with those purple bouquets.
