White Bridesmaid Dresses?

You knew I’d write about it eventually.  Pretty much everyone was in agreement that the Duchess of Cambridge’s gown was magnificent (although a lot of people were put off by pointy boobs?), but Pippa’s gown didn’t disappoint, either.  After the wedding, Pippa-mania began  With facebook groups “liking” her rear end, to rush purchases of the handbag she wore the day after the wedding, everyone seems to be smitten with the royal sister in law.

And the question has wedding trenders looking to each other for an agreement: does white work for a bridesmaid?  Does it compete with the bride?  Everyone has a different opinion about it, and you know I’d love to hear yours.  Personally, I love it if it’s done in an elegant way.  As long as the bridesmaid gown is nothing like the brides (other than the color, of course), it works great.  While Kate wore lace with sleeves and a full skirt and train, Pippa’s was a streamlined, creamy gown.  I think another way it works well is if there is only one bridesmaid, such as in their case.

But what do YOU think?  Would you go for this, or is it too on-trend that it could look dated in 20 years?

I agree with what you said that white bridesmaid dress is perfect if only you have one bridesmaid. Both of you will be the center of attraction just like Pippa and Kate. Pippa looks fantastic same with Kate.
