Have you ever been so overwhelmed by something that you didn’t know where to start? Like you have so many questions about the thing that as it turns out you don’t know enough to even ask one of your million questions? It’s basically how I felt when Leonardo DiCaprio DIDN’T win an Oscar for Great Gatsby but DID win one for The Revenant. I mean. He just laid down and screamed for most of that movie. What’s with you, Academy.
“Oh no. He’s right behind me, isn’t he. I better lay down and scream for two hours and just accept my Oscar.”
It can be overwhelming in that same way to plan a wedding. Without the bear attack of course. You don’t know where to start. You have lots of questions and aren’t really sure where to go for the answers. This is where going to a good open house can come in handy.
See The Venue at Your Own Pace
Some people like one-on-one attention and some people like to be left alone to wander around and envision their perfect day and ask questions as they come up. The good thing about an open house is that you get the best of both worlds – like Sangria!
Um. Wine AND liquor? We’re in.
At an open house, you can get the undivided attention of one of our team members or go off on your own. You can look around and say “I’ve seen all I need to see – book me now,” or you can say, “This is exactly what I want, but I want to come back on my own later and ask all of the questions.”
You have the ability to do all of these things with an open house.
Let Your Loved Ones See!
If you’re lucky enough to have people around you who are excited and want to help you plan your wedding, bringing them to an open house helps to lay a great foundation for their future involvement! It lets them see the type of venue you’re looking at, what your likes and dislikes are and shows them that you want them involved in the process!
Meet Your Vendor’s Preferred Vendors
This is a huge deal – and something you might not think about until it’s a little late in the planning process and you start thinking about all of those details people have at weddings that make them special. For example, at our upcoming Open House at Heather’s Glen, couples will not only get to tour our venue and meet our amazing team, but they’ll get to meet businesses that we have personally vetted and recommend for our clients. Going with unvetted vendors can be risky – like casting Jared Leto as the Joker.
“Hire me. I promise not to freak out the rest of the cast and potentially ruin The Suicide Squad.”
Just to give you an idea, here’s a list of some of the vendors who will be at our open house:
- Kendra Scott
- Cork This! Wine Bar
- I Do
- The Princess Bridal
- Al’s Formal Wear
- Cos Bar
- Bake my Day
- Magnolia Photobooth Co.
- Oryan photo and video
- Dave DiLauro Photography
So just by coming to one open house, couples not only get to tour the venue and see how the staff carries out their business, but they’ll also get to meet people from a transportation company, a formal wear business, photographers, a cosmetics company, a bakery and a jeweler (and many, many more!). The more information you get, the better equipped you’ll be to make decisions about your big day, and our open house, and open houses like ours, put all of those options in front of you so you don’t have to do the legwork.
With that being said, come out to our Open House this Sunday, Jan. 14! Here’s the link to the Facebook event for more information:
We hope to see you there!
